Our Art based on Georgia O'Keeffe

We have been looking at the american artist Georgia O'Keeffe. She liked to paint flowers and she painted them BIG! We have painted pansies , lavendar and sunflowers. We tried mixing colours and observing shapes closely. Here are a some of our pansies being painted. Our sunflowers look great too. They are up in our classroom. We thought about a good colour to paint in the background so our flowers would stand out.
We have some great artists in our room!
Here are Cameron and Katelyn using their skills.

4. We put the frame in and scooped up some paper mush.

5. We squeezed the water out with sponges.

6. The paper dried. It was soft on one side and rough on the other side.

More about the Landfill Visit

I can see some kids at the landfill. This is where people leave their rubbish.

By Natasha (5years)

I can see twigs from people's gardens. The landfill makes them into compost. The compost is very good for people's gardens. We can recycle garden rubbish.

Welcome to Room Two

We are a group of five and six year olds at Bradford School in Dunedin. We like to choose stories to read, play outside on the adventure playground, play hide and seek, do puzzles and paint pictures. We think Bradford school is special because it has lots of sports equipment to play with and on Fridays we can have a sausage.
